A new benchmark for low-altitude cultural tourism is in the making

It is reported that a foldable eVTOL (electric vertical take-off and landing) aircraft is an innovation that combines electric vertical take-off and landing technology and foldable design, with the aim to improve portability, storage efficiency and multi-scenario applicability. Yutu A100 is the first low-altitude aircraft officially released in Huadu District, and it is also the first of its kind in the world.

"Yutu A100" released in Huadu District this time is a single-person foldable eVTOL designed for low-altitude cultural tourism scenario. The aircraft has an empty weight of 115 kg, a maximum load of 110 kg, a flight speed of up to 72 km/h, a flight time of 20 minutes, a flight altitude of less than 10 meters, and can be fully charged in 50 minutes. As a mature model that has undergone two iterations and completed 2,000 flight verifications, Yutu A100 has passed tests in multiple scenarios, such as grass, stadium and seaside; it is both safe and entertaining, offering consumers "accessible" flight experience.

In response to the public's concern about flight safety, Yufei company proposed a multi-dimensional solution: 1. Technical redundancy: 8 motors and dual backup batteries ensure that a single failure does not affect the flight; 2. Material innovation: EPP foam shell and racing-grade skeleton greatly improve impact resistance; 3. Scenario design: flight altitude and speed are limited, and scenarios with buffering surfaces such as grass and water are selected for operation; and 4. Closed-loop management: joint test flight verification by the persons in charge of design, manufacturing and procurement is performed before leaving the factory to ensure that the whole process is safe and controllable. In addition, Yufei has partnered with Yisa, a leading industrial simulation company, to optimize flight safety design with digital twin technology.

The person in charge of Yufei said: "The choice of ultra-light eVTOL as the break point into the low-altitude cultural tourism field is based on the comprehensive consideration of policy compliance, safety and controllability, and commerce closed-loop.” Yutu A100 fully is in complete compliance with the definition of "ultra light aircraft" in the General Operating and Flight Rules of the Ministry of Transport, and can operate in closed scenarios without an airworthiness certificate.

Huadu District Airport Economic Management Committee and Guangdong Yufei Aviation Investment Co., Ltd. signed a strategic cooperation agreement at the press conference. The leader of the Huadu District Airport Economic Management Committee said that the Committee was making efforts in multiple aspects such as policy planning, infrastructure construction, investment promotion, and scenario application to deliver a coordinated push for the development of the low-altitude economy, and Huadu District would continue to optimize the economic ecology of the airport and support innovative enterprises such as Yufei to explore the commercialization of low-altitude economy.
