The event for Release of Huadu District sports tourism boutique routes and contract signing, commencement, and completion of key projects of "Hundred, Thousand, and Ten Thousand" Project was recently held in Huadu Opera House.

At the event, which was themed "Dynamic Northern Bay Area and Trendy Toy New Playground", 23 representative projects that were commenced or completed were promoted, contracts were signed for 18 key projects under the "Hundred, Thousand, and Ten Thousand" project, 10 themed activities for National Day Consumption Promotion were launched, 4 tourism routes were introduced, and 5 upcoming sports events were released; simultaneously held along the above were experience activities such as N7 test drives, kayaking, indoor skiing, hiking, and cycling. It is designed to use multi-dimensional scenarios and diverse participation, to ignite a new wave of public fitness and sports enthusiasm, striving to build an important high-quality outdoor sports destination and create momentum for major events such as the 15th National Games.

4 Tourism Routes

Connect country and city through mountains and water to unlock new trendy experiences.

Four tourism routes were introduced at the event, inviting the public to explore Huadu on a diverse and exciting journey. Among them is the Guangzhou Southern Ice & Snow "Ride of Illusion", a 2025 China Sports Tourism Boutique Route, which extends 45 kilometers, connecting scenic spots such as Huadu District's Guangzhou-Qingyuan Green Beauty Cycling Trail, CTS·Anaya Jiulong Lake, Guangzhou Sunac Cultural Tourism City, Furong Tourist Resort, Begin Camping No.1, and Yusheng International Equestrian Resort. Having ice and snow as its highlight, the Route integrates skiing, snow entertainment, outdoor hiking, trekking, cycling, equestrian, golf, go-karting, theme parks, RV camping, and study tours, to achieve strong synergy between sports and tourism that fully meet diverse tourist demands. The most beautiful self-driving route (Southern Hot Snow · Trendy Fun Tour) starts from Baiyun International Airport, and links such as the Gangtou Village, which is full of "art + countryside" vibe, Jiulong Lake, which is the poetic and lively at once, and Habitat Creek, which is known as the world's most fragrant place, condensing rich landscapes into the route and making every turn a surprise. The most beautiful cycling route (Flowering Years · Green Beauty Viewing Tour) is approximately 69 kilometers long, along which tourists can visit Maling Botanical Garden to capture Lingnan's abundant flowers in pictures, explore Zhudong Village to see world-class bonsai and scenic lakes, or experience the cultural charm of ancient and modern fusion in Langtou Ancient Village; it is the route to enjoy the beauty of Lingnan's flowers and waters. and The most beautiful hiking route (Forest Oxygen Bar · Wild Exploration Tour) spans about 30 kilometers, passing through Begin Camping No.1, Grey Sculpture Garden, Huaxi Butterfly Valley, Prince Mountain, and Gaobaizhang; it is the route where hikers can find their personal experience and immerse themselves in nature's nourishment, regardless of whether they are pursuing primitive wilderness, enjoying lake views, or appreciating intangible cultural heritage.

The event also announced 5 upcoming sports events: the 2026 Guangzhou Half Marathon (Huadu), the 2025 China International Jump Rope Open and National Jump Rope League Finals, the 2025 season of Chinese Football League 2, the 2025 China Two-Wheel Industry Mobility Conference, and the 2025 Huadu District "Hua YOUNG" Basketball Carnival. By taking advantage of these sports events, Huadu will integrate elements of youth, fashion, and energy into the bones of the District, comprehensively enhance urban sports infrastructure, promote the coordinated development of mass sports, competitive sports, sports industry, and sports culture, striving to contribute to Guangzhou's goal of building a world-renowned sports city and a world-class tourism destination.

18 Key Projects

Sign contracts to landing in the Northern Bay Area and ignite a new engine of development

Contracts were signed right at the spot for 18 key projects, with a total investment of nearly 7 billion yuan, covering fields such as tourism and leisure, fashion consumer goods, modern commerce, low-altitude economy, and aerospace. These highly promising investment projects are injecting strong momentum into the high-quality economic development of Huadu.

The Meihua Aviation Sci-Tech Innovation Ecological Integration Development Center, focusing on comprehensive aviation training, will establish three centers for aviation training, health examination, and industrial development, and three bases for aerospace Party building, popular science, and filming, and introduce core industries such as aviation training, general aviation equipment, and avionics, with the aim to build the largest, most comprehensive, and best-service aviation sci-tech ecological demonstration zone in China.

The Flower Town International Overseas Chinese Cultural Base is expected to fully explore the characteristic resources of overseas Chinese culture and Diaolou architecture. By making good use of the reputation as Guangzhou's first "China Overseas Chinese International Cultural Exchange Base”, it will carry out protective development of Diaolou and old houses, and plan the establishment of diversified business forms, including the Overseas Chinese Museum and intangible cultural heritage experience, to create an international cultural and leisure tourism destination in the hometown of overseas Chinese.

The Guangzhou Haiyuhui Ocean World, adhering to the philosophy of organic combination of "marine tourism and edutainment", breaks out of the traditional aquarium model and develops an all-weather, multi-scenario performance system, covering marine life exhibitions, theater performances, intangible cultural heritage, magic, and more, with the aim to become a benchmark family-friendly attraction and a window for marine culture promotion.

Also released at the event were the 2025 "Go and Shop in Huadu Before the National Games" consumer promotion series of activities, which include 10 major themed consumption activities: National Games Energy, Auto Carnival, Food Tasting Festival, Trendy Music Evenings, Happy Shopping Experience, Creative Fun Vacations, Art and Ancient Charm, Quality Home, Colorful Livestream Shopping, and Fashion Show.

In recent years, Huadu District has thoroughly studied and implemented General Secretary Xi Jinping’s important speeches and instructions given during his inspection tour of Guangdong, fully carried out the '1310' specific deployment of Guangdong province, and the '1312' strategies and measures of Guangzhou city. Anchored on the goal of 'starting up in one year, obtaining initial results in three years, achieving significant changes in five years, and realize fundamental transformation in ten years,' Huadu has taken solid steps and made notable progress in the "Hundred, Thousand, and Ten Thousand" project.

In 2025, 66 key projects of the "Hundred, Thousand, and Ten Thousand" project are planned and promoted, with a total investment of 114.8 billion yuan; and 26 major tasks under the 'Ten Major Campaigns' are implemented. Huadu District was rated 'Outstanding Performance in the 2024 municipal assessment of the "Hundred, Thousand, and Ten Thousand" project; its village collective income and farmers' disposable income increased by 14.2% and 30.8% respectively compared to 2022; and it was included in the list of 2025 national pilot areas for rural comprehensive reform.

In the future, Huadu will earnestly implement provincial and municipal deployment requirements, execute the "Hundred, Thousand, and Ten Thousand" project at a higher level and quality, and commit itself to the 'Five Major Focuses' (focus on promoting industrial development, focus on improving living environment, focus on enhancing public services and social governance, focus on reforming systems and mechanisms, and focus on increasing social participation) to push forward breakthroughs and landmark achievements, and contribute further to coordinated urban and rural development.
