The 138th Canton Fair ended successfully on November 4 at the Pazhou Convention and Exhibition Center in Guangzhou. Huadu District had a total of 214 enterprises occupying 686 booths in the Fair, and recorded an intended purchase amount of US$497 million, accounting for 18.47% of the city, and ranking first among all districts, which is a full demonstration of the strong foreign trade strength of "Made in Huadu".

It is reported that this session of Canton Fair received more than 310,000 overseas buyers from 223 countries and regions, which is a record high with an increase of 7.5% over the previous one; and that the on-site intended purchase amount reached USD 25.65 billion, speaking vividly the enthusiasm of trade. Elements of the 15th National Games were highlights of this Canton Fair. The development potential of the sports economy was fully demonstrated through themed live broadcasts, enterprise visits, forum exchanges and other forms; and they also provided new opportunities for Huadu enterprises to expand the sports product market.

As a "barometer" and "weather vane" of China's foreign trade, the Canton Fair has always been an important platform for Huadu enterprises to "go global" to expand the market and win orders. The line up of Huadu District exhibitors is full of "gold content"; with 108 national high-tech enterprises, 62 provincial-level specialized, refined, differentiated, and innovative (SRDI) enterprises, and 2 national SRDI "little giant" enterprises, it spoke loudly of the solid foundation and innovation vitality of Huadu's manufacturing industry.
In terms of exhibits, enterprises in Huadu District bear the hallmark of "diverse in types and abundant in categories". The products, covering dozens of fields such as electronic information manufacturing, bags, and personal care products, showcased the comprehensive strength of "Made in Huadu" in an all-round way. It is worth mentioning that luggage and leather goods once again became the focus of the exhibition. In the "Shiling Leather Goods Street" in Hall 18.2, Aopiya, Huilong, Aoking and other Huadu brands were collectively displayed under the logo derived from the distorted Chinese character meaning leather, and in the light from the "Shiling" light box, to further enhance the name of "China's Leather Goods Capital".

Opens up the two-way fast lane of supply and demand
In order to help enterprises seize business opportunities, Huadu District organized enterprises to participate in nearly 30 docking activities during the Fair, trying to build a bridge for efficient cooperation between local enterprises and global buyers, and effectively opening up the two-way "fast lane" between supply and demand.
Facilitate precise docking in the exhibition halls to lock in high-quality procurement resources. The District actively played a coordinating role. On the one hand, buyers from key markets such as Russia and New Zealand were invited to visit the booths of Huadu exhibitors, offering them up close understanding of the product quality and production strength of the exhibitors; on the other hand, enterprises are deliberately organized to participate in various special supply and procurement docking activities, including Hong Kong special session, Kenyan stationery special session and UNICEF procurement special session, etc.; efforts were also made to promote the direct docking of local enterprises with the leading buyers of the Canton Fair such as Russia's X5 Group and Indonesia's Kawan Lama Group.
Extend services outside the exhibition halls to create "Canton Fair at the doorstep". A docking activity under the name of "Link Canton Fair to Buy Directly from Huadu" was held during the Canton Fair for building materials and sanitary ware, luggage and leather goods, beauty and personal care products. Relying on the resources of Canton Fair buyers, and focusing on international procurement needs, through in-depth demand research and access screening was carried out in the early stage to sort out the advantages of enterprises and the needs of buyer needs in advance, which helped the successful docking between 76 Huadu enterprises and 107 international buyers. The dual-track model of "efficient negotiation + field visit" was applied to effectively promote the cooperation between local enterprises and international buyers, generating an intended purchase amount of 58.4 million US dollars. Most of the participating enterprises reported that the special docking activities effectively solved the choke point of "difficulty in finding international buyers", and the "negotiation + inspection" mode allowed international buyers to have first-hand understanding of the strength of the enterprises.

At the successful conclusion of the 138th Canton Fair, Huadu enterprises not only harvested a brilliant record of US$497 million in intended orders on the global stage, but also won deep recognition in the international market with their high-quality products and innovative services, achieving a double breakthrough in both brand influence and market expansion, which injected strong potential energy into the high-quality development of regional foreign trade.
