In 2025, Huadu Customs solidly implemented a new round of support measures to promote sustained quantity and improved quality of foreign trade, continued to improve service quality and regulatory efficiency, and helped enterprises in its jurisdiction fully enjoy policy dividends, giving full support to Huadu District in cultivating new momentum for foreign trade development. In 2025, the total import and export value of foreign trade of Huadu District recorded 75.25 billion yuan, an increase of 6.8% year-on-year (the same below). In particular, the export value reached 51.09 billion yuan, an increase of 12.6%; and the import reached 24.16 billion yuan, down 3.7%.

Foreign trade development gained more resilience, and the main trade modes continued to grow. In 2025, the import and export of general trade (0110) of Huadu District was 52.00 billion yuan, an increase of 22.1%, accounting for 69.1% of the total foreign trade value of Huadu District in the same period.

The business entities showed stronger vitality, and private enterprises continued to play the main role in foreign trade. In 2025, the import and export of private enterprises in Huadu District recorded 52.72 billion yuan, an increase of 12.5%, accounting for 70.1% of the total foreign trade value of Huadu District. The import and export of foreign-invested enterprises in the same period was 18.67 billion yuan, an increase of 4.6%, accounting for 24.8%.

Emerging markets were full of momentum, and the foreign trade pattern became more diversified. Expansion in the emerging markets accelerated. Among major trading partners, Huadu District's imports and exports with ASEAN reached14.85 billion yuan, an increase of 48%, and 4.63 billion yuan with the Middle East, an increase of 42.3%. During the same period, imports and exports with the Belt and Road countries and other RCEP members increased by 28.2% and 28.8% respectively.

The trade structure continues to be optimized, and both traditional advantageous industries and emerging industries progressed greatly. In terms of exports, exports of mechanical and electrical products and high-tech products increased significantly, with exports of mechanical and electrical products reaching 25.32 billion yuan, an increase of 17.3%, and the exports of high-tech products (overlap with mechanical and electrical products) reaching 5.73 billion yuan, an increase of 34.2%. The export foundation of traditional advantageous industries remained solid; of the labor-intensive products, the exports of textiles and clothing among reached 3.61 billion yuan, an increase of 26.3%, and that of plastic products recorded 2.17 billion yuan, an increase of 26.5%. The exports of bags, cosmetics and other specialty commodities delivered excellent performance; the exports of bags and similar containers reached 8.63 billion yuan, an increase of 0.3%, accounting for 16.9% of the total export value of Huadu District; and the cosmetics exports were 1.22 billion yuan, an increase of 11.1%. The emerging industries strongly drove export growth, with exports of electric vehicles, photovoltaic products, lithium batteries, the so called "new three" of foreign trade, reached 700 million yuan, an increase of 65.1%. In terms of imports, 14.13 billion yuan of mechanical and electrical products was imported, an increase of 26.1%; the imports of high-tech products (overlap with mechanical and electrical products) were 13.33 billion yuan, an increase of 7.9%; agricultural imports were 2.22 billion yuan, an increase of 30.2%; and the imports of medicinal materials and drugs were 5.29 billion yuan, accounting for 21.9% of the total import value of Huadu District.

According to Huadu Customs, efforts will be made in 2026 to continue the efforts to solidly promote various measures to stabilize foreign trade, closely follow key projects and key industries in Huadu District, focus on the urgent and difficult problems of enterprises, fully implement such working mechanisms as "customs chief sending policies to the door" and "coordinator to enterprise", continuously optimize the business environment at the port, and further boost the development confidence of market operators, so as to fully support Huadu to deepen high-level opening up.
