On September 12, a contract signing event was held in Huadu for the investment promotion agreement between the Huadu District Government and Seraphim Energy Group, Inc. The event was attended by major leaders of the District Party Committee and District Government, relevant leaders of the Seraphim Group, and a number of representatives of photovoltaic industry chain enterprises.

　　Seraphim, a solar product manufacturer founded in 2011 with focus on the development and production of photovoltaic modules has rapidly grown into a world-class leader in photovoltaic manufacturing. As of the end of 2022, the company had a global production capacity of 12GW/year, and had been listed as a Tier1 module supplier by BloombergNEF for nine consecutive years, and had been rated as a top module supplier by PVEL for five times. The company now owns more than 100 technology patents, has branches in 25 countries, and sees its products widely used in more than 100 countries around the world.

　　Seraphim plans to build a 10GW PV module manufacturing project in Huadu District, with a total investment of about 6 billion yuan. The project will be divided in two phases, and each phase will build a 5GW-capacity production line of large-size full compatible photovoltaic modules. The whole project will be and completed in 3 years. It is estimated that after reaching its design capacity, the project will generate an annual output not less than 10 billion yuan, and create jobs for about 2,600 people. The joint venture of Seraphim Group and Huadu District State-owned Assets Bureau represents a new investment promotion model featuring joint investment by state-owned and private enterprises, implementation support by local government, and precise and powerful policy support.

　　According to a relevant person in charge from Seraphim, against the backdrop of the nationwide promotion of energy conservation and emission reduction for quicker achievement of carbon neutrality, Seraphim Group was ready to respond actively to Huadu government's high-quality development strategy of "basing the District on intelligent manufacturing", and contribute to the high-quality development of Guangzhou's new energy industry. The Group would strive to build the 10GW photovoltaic module manufacturing project, so as to play an important role in Huadu's ambition to accelerate the optimization of the industrial structure, develop advantageous characteristic industries and expand the new energy industry cluster.

　　Now in order to achieve high-quality development of economy and society, the District has set its eye on the new trillion-level fields of photovoltaic, hydrogen energy and energy storage. It is planning a "green energy valley" with a total area of more than 10 square kilometers in the Greater Bay Area, and an industrial space layout featuring "one district, two sections and three bases", so to create a "green valley and energy capital in the Greater Bay Area" that is based in Guangzhou, radiating the Greater Bay Area and facing the world.
